Before

Before Arania was a Citian, she came from the sea. Well, really, more like my dreams. Three of the sisters are from my dreams, one is me.

Land was laid to waste beneath her feet. A few feeble fires still burned among the charred and ashy remains. All bodies, gone. Survivors, her. Taken by the war heiress, Ember. The bracelet around her bicep tightened seemingly as she rose her fingers to her mouth. She took a deep breath and blew, a seemingly endless cloud of warmth and mist and cloud. It flew over the field of destruction, fog clinging to the land, smothering fire. As soon as it came, it disappeared, leaving the land soaked in water. New life would grow soon. Her shoulders still set squared, she turned and climbed upon her horse. She took one last glance over the land and left, her head bowed.
