Making and keeping friends is like carrying a big ball of laundry
down
all
those
stairs.


Some friends slip from the pile but don't tell you
And they get lost amid the blue
of someones lost jeans.

Sometimes, they do shout out with bright colors!
And you trudge, back up
stairs.

And when you bend over to pick them back up
Another person could fall.

Theres a funny thing about those stairs though
They don't stop until you give up.

on
leading

way
down.
